The week before my birthday was s-t-r-e-s-s-f-u-l! Slept in on the Monday, went to work to finish packing the last of the capsicums then went to choose the design of my cake. During the week I went to buy party decorations, soft drinks, favour bags for the littles, and hire a helium tank for balloons. I planned to make mini cupcakes but that didn't go through since it required a lot of effort. Took two days for me to clean my room + the living room. D: the BIG day finally came - started hanging streamers and balloons, picked up my cake, made helium balloons for kids at the event......... I don't remember if I ate much during that week. Felt very moody and fatigue.
My parents probably were more stressed than I was. I'm thankful that they helped out A LOT for my 21st. I'm also grateful for Peter's help, too. :) I felt so bad calling him over at 11am on the day to help with streamers (because I couldn't reach to hang it lol) but we both got the job done. He also helped me pick up the cake. If he hadn't been there for me, I would've broke down or take all my frustrations out on my parents. If my brother was at home instead of tutors, it would've gone more smoothly. Plus I wouldn't have been so bitchy to Peter, haha. But glad things turned out better during the day. Had my first meal of the day at 4pm or something... D': JEEBUS, the bad moments were when kids stole balloons that were tied to the weights, my grandma bossed me around, kids running up and down the stairs, and my 3 y.o cousin poked my cake... sigh. At least the good moments outweighed the bads. My friends and Peter arrived, the rest of my family arrived.. I felt more happier and comfortable. Chatted with my friends for a bit then was rushed to go outside to say "hello" to the adults. -_- around 8-ish we had the cake out; that was FUUUUNNNNN, Only thing I looked forward to. I love cake. :) then I tried the Cowboy butterscotch shots and a bit of Henny. I was severely dehydrated. Said "goodbye" to my friends, sat on the porch for a while talking and enjoying the cool air with Peter. Pinata was set up for the kids.. some DRUNKO (family friend) lit the pinata up but luckily it didn't spread too quickly. Kids still got their candy. Was serenaded by my Uncle, with the help of his friend who played the guitar- ALLLLLL MYYYY LIIIIIFFEEEE I waited for someone like you- one of my faves. One guy (family friend) actual praised Peter, saying that he's lucky and it's rare to find someone like me. :') makes me feel fuzzy warm inside that some people root for us. By the end of the night, someone at the party went missing. Peter and I helped with the search. Case solved. Memorable 21st, I'd say.
Can't wait to have a more intimate birthday with my closest friends on my ACTUAL birthday. :) and happy 30 months to my sweetness!
